Audio settings

Setting up LTC input is very straight forward.

You start by selecting the driver you want to use as audio device. On Windows, this also includes ASIO devices. Then select the input you want to use and the channel that the LTC is on.

Assuming that there’s LTC coming in on that channel, you will see timecode start running in the Show view.

FPS

There is no need to choose a FPS setting. HeadsUp will determine the FPS based on the audio coming in and switch to the correct value automatically. On the off chance that it’s not able to correctly determine the FPS, you can always manually click the correct FPS to override.

Troubleshooting

On the left hand side, a little yellow warning icon will flash if any problems are detected with the incoming LTC audio. This includes abrupt changes to the LTC time when timecode is started and stopped, but can also indicate noise, clipping, low input levels or a wrong FPS setting.

Wait! I still have questions!
